Emraan Hashmi Shares His Son’s Cancer Journey

Emraan Hashmi shared a very sad time from his life when his young son Ayaan got very sick in 2014. They were having a fun family lunch when Ayaan showed a worrying sign — he passed blood in his urine. Within a few hours, doctors told them that Ayaan had a rare kind of cancer called Wilms’ Tumour. Emraan said that day changed everything for him and his family, and it felt like their whole world turned upside down.

For the next five years, Emraan and his wife, Parveen, stayed strong for their son. Even though they were very sad and scared, they didn’t cry in front of Ayaan because they didn’t want him to feel worse. They only cried when he couldn’t see. Emraan said he had very tough days but tried to stay hopeful. After many treatments and hospital visits, Ayaan finally got better in 2019.

Just when things started to get better, Emraan’s mother was told she had cancer too, and sadly, she passed away after six months. Emraan was not with her when she died, and he feels very bad about that. Now that Ayaan is healthy, Emraan is back to acting and is excited about his new movie Ground Zero, which will come out on April 25. His story shows how strong people can be for the ones they love.
