Shahid Kapoor expressed that in his opinion, Farzi is the finest digital debut

Shahid Kapoor reveals that he is eagerly awaiting the response of his fans to his first-ever streaming project, Farzi, which has been directed by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK. After two decades of working in the film industry, Kapoor takes on the role of Sunny in the Prime Video show, a determined Mumbaikar striving for success in a competitive world. “I am truly thrilled and eager to see how the audience will react to the project. But I have to say, I am extremely pleased with the final outcome and I feel that among all the opportunities presented to me, this is the best digital debut one could ask for. I’ve been working in the industry for 20 years and now I am making a debut in the digital space. I would greatly appreciate your support,” Kapoor stated in an official statement.

In addition to Shahid Kapoor, Farzi, an eight-part series, boasts an impressive cast, including south Indian actor Vijay Sethupathi, Kay Kay Menon, Raashi Khanna, Bhuvan Arora, Amol Palekar, and Regina Cassandra.

Shahid Kapoor, who has made a name for himself with his powerful performances in films like Kaminey, Haider, Udta Punjab, Padmavaat, and Jersey, stated that Farzi was the “best opportunity” for him to work with “the best filmmakers” in the industry.

Shahid Kapoor praised the cast of Farzi, highlighting the presence of talented actors such as Raashi Khanna, Vijay Sethupathi, Kay Kay Menon, Bhuvan Arora, Amol Palekar, and Regina Cassandra. “The cast is truly stellar. Raashi, Vijay sir, Kay Kay sir, and even the supporting cast including Bhuvan who plays Firoz and Amol Palekar sir, with Regina also having a small role in the show. It’s a collection of very intriguing artists,” he said, also acknowledging the work of co-writers Sita Menon and Suman Kumar.

Shahid Kapoor expressed his joy at reuniting with his favorite director of photography, Pankaj Kumar, who he previously worked with on Haider in 2014. The actor stated that he was happy to be collaborating with Kumar again.
