Ranveer Allahbadia and Apoorva Mukhija Face Legal Problem for Ignoring Cyber Cell Summons

YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia got into serious trouble after asking a very inappropriate and offensive question on a comedy show called India’s Got Latent. The question upset many people, leading to police complaints (FIRs) and strong criticism from the National Commission for Women. The Supreme Court also said his comment was vulgar, but gave him temporary protection from being arrested.
Ranveer later apologized in writing and made a video called “Dear India,” where he asked for another chance and promised to improve his podcast by focusing on India’s culture and personal growth. Apoorva Mukhija, another person on the show, also apologized and shared that the backlash affected her deeply — she got rape and death threats and suffered from sleep paralysis.
The Maharashtra Cyber Cell called Ranveer, Apoorva, Samay Raina, and Ashish Chanchlani for questioning. Samay and Ashish went, but Ranveer and Apoorva didn’t show up. Because of this, the Cyber Cell may take legal action against them for not cooperating.
Even though Ranveer and Apoorva have said sorry and are trying to move on, they are still facing legal trouble. The whole issue shows how important it is for content creators to be careful about what they say online.
